The test bench MS604 allows you to check the performance and output of single- and double-circuit HPS pumps with mechanical drive. The test bench simulates the actual operating conditions of the HPS pumps on the car and it allows to get up-to-date data on the state of the unit.
Diagnostics of pumps is as follows:
- The master fixes the connection to the support by means of a three-cam cartridge and a fixing system.
- The pump is connected to the hydraulic line of the test bench by means of fitting (are included in the test bench).
- On the LCD display the master chooses the speed and direction of rotation of the pulley. By setting a speed of 1000 rpm ( this is the optimal speed for most pumps ), the master captures the flow performance in each of the circuits.
- Closing the fluid flow for 15-20 seconds, the master simulates the steering wheel turning to the extreme position and fixes the pressure gauge. The master opens and closes the valve 4-5 times to evaluate the performance of the valves according to the flow of liquid - they must be the same at all times. The flow and pressure gauge shall be measured by the pump characteristics according to the catalogue.
- To stop the drive, the master presses STOP on the display. The drive also stops when the specialist opens the protection of the сhuck and presses the EMERGENCY STOP button, thereby ensuring the safety of the operator.
Using the MS604 stand, it is possible to quickly and accurately assess the technical condition and find the fault of the power steering pump, which greatly speeds up the process of diagnosis and repair. The test bench is easy to operate and does not require the operator to be highly qualified or experienced.
