This special tool is used during the disassembly/assembly of the steering rack. The tool ensures the integrity of the upper nut of the worm gear mechanism of the steering rack, which has a complex shape, preventing its deformation during disassembly.

The special tool MS00174 is an adapter with a star-shaped head for a 36mm hexagon. This tool is designed for the installation/removal of the upper nut of the worm gear drive of the steering rack HO411.NLF0.R*. To disassemble/assemble this steering rack, you will also need the MS00177 tool.
The MS00174 tool is used as an auxiliary tool in the repair of steering racks for the following cars:

- Avoid heavy impacts.
