Tester MS012 COM for testing voltage regulators of all types under load.

Alternator rotor serves as voltage regulator load, operating range is set within 2-22 ohm in Tester MS012. The device is intended to test operation of voltage regulators and has a function to change resistance of simulated rotor. Preferably, operating range should correspond to the one on an alternator, from which a voltage regulator is dismounted. Testing can be carried out under the same rotor resistance in terms of changing load, thus, we can see how current changes up to 7 A through alternator rotor. An operator controls stability of adjustable voltage or in case of controlled voltage regulators, correspondence of set and measured voltage.

Diagnostics of voltage regulators is easy and fast: it will take only 1-2 minutes with Tester MS012, it saves car service specialist’s time significantly. Pay special attention to testing of not original type voltage regulators, as far as there is a possibility of ID number or protocol type mismatch, failure to resist the set load, etc. Diagnostics with Tester MS012 gives an opportunity to conduct testing without dismounting of a unit – directly in a car.

Tester MS012 COM reads all currently existed types of controlled voltage regulators. We follow the latest inventions and timely make firmware update on coming out of new types of voltage regulators.

In the beginning of 2017 MSG Team has made a big step forward – has updated software of Testers MS012 and MS013! Thanks to close collaboration of different departments of the company, partners and skilled specialists, a new type of voltage regulators with LIN protocol has been found.

Currently our equipment can test 12 types of LIN protocols both 1.3 and 2.1 versions (A1, A2, A3, A4, B1, B2, B3, B4, C4, D1, D2, E1).

 

In new protocol types an increased amount of data, transferred from a voltage regulator, has been implemented, protocol of setting voltage has been changed, some extra features have been added. For instance, voltage regulators of a kind are installed on Renault (Clio 4, Logan) with engine 0.9 l.

Due to the latest improvement of Tester MS012, the above-mentioned types of voltage regulators can be successfully tested with our equipment.
